Making a movie cheap

I’m often asked to find deals outside of the perimeter. Here’s one you might like. Popcorn for $1! I enjoy going to the movies, and I like it even more when I can find some sort of bargain. I find most theatres are simply overpriced. Every Tuesday, Carmike Cinemas has popcorn and drinks for $1,  and they just added candy for $2. There are a few locations in the area, all OTP. I found locations in Newnan, Canton and Snellville. Yes, it’s a Tuesday, but consider that the theatre won’t be crowded at all, and if you’re off during the day, you can even save by doing the matinee.

Free pizza

Getting a free pizza has never been this easy. Become a friend of Papa John’s on Facebook, and get a free medium cheese pizza. As with many offers, this one has a catch. It’s free only after you make a minimum of a $10 online purchase. So, throw in a small pie, or some sodas or even dessert, and the pizza is on the house. Here’s the link .

Free High Museum admission

As always, the High Museum of Art is free to Fulton County residents the first Saturday of every month — that means this weekend, Nov. 7. It’s a good opportunity to see the Leonarda da Vinci Hand of the Genius exhibit, as well as the John Portman exhibit.

Around the World In 80 Days

It has been an exhausting day, and it feels like I’ve indeed been around the world. Alas, this deal has nothing to do with me. It’s all about saving on Theatrical Outfit’s ‘Around The World In 80 Days’ play at the Balzer Theatre at Herren’s. Thanks to them for sending this to me via Twitter @atlbargains . Thursday night is Passepartout Night, when walk-up tickets are $5 off if you bring along a travel-related item. On Saturday, the theatre is hosting a f ree belly dancing class with Saroya .
